To Honor Hunter Ross is to Emulate Him
It is with a heavy heart and confused mind that we confront the passing of Hunter Ross. He was an amazing young man taken from us so young with so much life left to live. Hunter was the focal point of our basketball training program in the Jupiter and Tequesta Community. The fall clinics, individual and team training, huddling with coaches on strategy, the tangibles and the intangibles of Hunter Ross. With his passing we feel so deeply a sense of loss. But instead of what is lost let’s try to focus on what has been gained from knowing Hunter Ross.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30pm on Wednesday, March 4th at Jupiter First Church, 1475 Indian Creek Parkway, Jupiter. In lieu of flowers, send donations to Jupiter First Church Youth Group or make a contribution to JTAA for benefit of the Hunter Ross Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Hunter Ross Memorial Scholarship Fund
Beginning in 2016, the Jupiter Jaguars Travel Basketball Program will award scholarship(s) totaling $1,500 in memory on Hunter Ross.
Hunter was an integral part of the Jaguar program for so many years, and affected so many players, that the Jupiter Jaguar Travel Basketball Board has established this $1,500 scholarship in his name.
Twelfth grade seniors, who have played Jupiter Jaguar Basketball during their basketball career, are eligible to apply.
We will present the scholarship check(s) to the player(s) selected to receive the scholarship, during the Jupiter Jam, which runs April, 29 2016- May 1, 2016.
Please send an e-mail, 200 – 250 words, by April 1, 2016, to the Travel basketball Director, Scott Warburton, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please include in that e-mail the life lessons, basketball lessons and the impact Hunter had on you.
Remember, Hunter made every player feel, regardless of skill level, age, race, sex effort, talent or desire, that they were the most important person to him.
2016 Jupiter Jam

Birdies for Children
Support your team and a great cause! The Birdies for Children program is a way for charities to benefit from The Honda Classic. Local participating charitable organizations (such as JTAA) obtain pledges of $20 or more and those donors earn an opportunity to guess the number of birdies (a birdie is a score of one stroke less than par on any hole) made during The 2014 Honda Classic with 110% of their pledge amount going directly to their participating charity.
